Position: Head of Flight Operations, Nominated Post Holder of Flight Operations
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safety and efficiency of flight operations.
- Control of operations and operational standards of all aircraft operated.
- Supervision, organization, manning and efficiency of departments concerned.
- Responsible for the contents of the Flight Operations Manual.
- Responsible for strategic decisions through company SOP’s and standards, ensuring compliance to the applicable regulations and best industry practices.
- Liaison with the regulatory authority on all matters concerning flight operations, including any variations to the Air Operator’s Operator Certificate.
- Liaise with other departments within the airline to ensure that the Airline’s global objectives and targets are met.
- The safety, security and quality outcomes, including implementation and monitoring of safety and quality activities and processes within the department. And further ensure ongoing conformity with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards and local procedures.
- Ensuring that crew scheduling complies with duty time regulations, FRMS and all crew members kept informed of any changes to the regulations and standards.
- The receipt and auctioning of any aeronautical information affecting the safety of flight.
- The dissemination of aircraft safety information, both internal and external, in conjunction with the flight safety program.
- Ensure the promotion and effective implementation of the company’s safety policy and non-punitive policy in alignment with SMS (Safety Management System) requirements across all sections of the operations department, ensuring effective management of safety risks associated with aircraft operations.
- Ensuring exchange of information and co-ordination of safety issues within Operations Departments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent qualifications.
- Candidates with minimum 5 years of job-related Management experience does not need to full fill the above qualification subject to senior management approval.
- Has acquired not less than 15 years command experience to large/medium turbine powered aircraft and hold a CAASL, ICAO or FAA approved ATPL License.
- Minimum 10,000 hours total flight time on Multi-Crew, Multi-Engine, and Commercial Airline experience on a jet with MTOW of 50,000 kg or higher.
- Minimum 6000 hours as Pilot In-Command on A320 family aircrafts.
- 5 years’ experience as an Instructor/Examiner
- Last flight on any of the aircraft types which AirCeilao operate within the past 12 months
- Class one medical without any restrictions.
- ICAO English level 5 or above.
